Arrowhealth Bridge Extension FAQs

Looking to understand how Arrowhealth integrates with EHR systems, ensures compliance, and supports seamless provider workflows? You’re in the right place. This FAQ page is built from real questions we get from prospective clients – and our honest, straight-up answers with no fluff.

How does the Bridge extension interact with different EHR systems?

The Bridge extension works directly in Chrome and Edge browsers. It doesn’t rely on APIs or fragile screen scraping—instead, it uses our proprietary HTML consumption and mapping approach (one of the key ingredients to our “secret sauce”).

What features come standard with the out-of-the-box (OOTB) Bridge extension?

Out of the box, you get:

  • SSO (Single Sign-On)
  • 17 core data elements shared via API
  • Your choice of UI display (template-driven, navigator  app, or SDK)
  • Full white-labeling (your logo, your colors, your vibe)
  • Push notifications
  • Access to our library of 31+ mapped EHRs

What customization options are available?

If our standard setup doesn’t check all the boxes, no worries—we’ll work with you to scope out custom data sets, unique UI configurations, and other enhancements to meet your exact needs.

What care collaboration capabilities are enabled?

No limits here. We don’t put walls around your platform. Our tech lets your platform deliver its full value—right where your users already work.

What kind of data can be shared through the Bridge extension?

We support sharing 17 structured data elements by default (like demographics and insurance info). Need more? We’ve got options to share additional discrete data or even full chart documents via drag-and-drop. It all depends on what you want your platform to do.

Can the extension detect referral eligibility automatically?

Yes. The extension can identify patients who meet your referral criteria, automatically.

Can referrals be made without switching out of the EHR?

Yes. Users can complete referrals right within the EHR window, no tab-hopping required.

Is patient data secure?

Absolutely. All data shared through the Bridge extension is encrypted both in transit and at rest.

Is the Bridge extension HIPAA-compliant?

Yes, fully compliant.

How is access managed and audited?

If users can log into the EHR, they can log into your app via Bridge. That’s the standard. Bridge serves as a secure authenticator and credential clearinghouse.

How are user permissions defined?

They’re aligned with EHR login permissions—nothing new to manage or configure.

What about patient consent for data sharing?

Arrowhealth doesn’t touch PHI. We stay out of that lane entirely. Your organization and your clients are still responsible for obtaining and documenting patient consent according to standard best practices.

Does Bridge rely on APIs or screen scraping?

Nope. We’ve built something stronger. Our extension uses a proprietary approach that’s more reliable and scalable than screen scraping or RPA methods.

How often are updates rolled out?

We roll updates in two lanes—your app and our extension. You can update your navigator, template, or SDK whenever you want. Our extension updates don’t interrupt workflows or require end-user action.

Do updates affect the end user?

Not at all. Updates are pushed silently in the background, keeping your user experience smooth and disruption-free.

How is pricing structured?

We follow a SaaS-style pricing model, customized to reflect the value we’re enabling for your business. Our agreements are evergreen, with mutual 90-day out clauses—because we believe that if we’re doing our job, you’ll want to stick around.

What usage data is available?

You get visibility into how the Bridge extension is being used—logins, activity, and more. Once users move into your standalone platform, that’s your data to manage.

What reporting tools do you offer?

The sky’s the limit. We can provide dashboards on user log-ins, IP addresses, successful vs. failed attempts, and beyond. Custom reporting is available too—just ask.

What does implementation look like?

We move fast. Typical rollout happens within 72 hours of the kickoff call. You’ll work with our virtual onboarding team, which includes ops specialists, a client success manager, and an executive sponsor.

How long does onboarding take for a new provider site?

For small sites—it’s minutes (just download the extension). For enterprise-level sites, deployment can happen within 24 hours via tools like Microsoft.

What is the training requirement for end users?

Zero. Your platform runs inside Bridge without added training. If users know your platform, they’re good to go.

Do you provide a sandbox/testing environment?

Yes. We provide access to Stratus EHR—a mock environment where you can test and demo your platform.

What ongoing support is available?

We offer virtual support with clearly defined response times (check our SLA for details). We operate with a “clients for life” mindset—and for the record, we’ve never been fired.
